D’etincelles is a French word
meaning “to spark” which is the central theme of this blog. To make any
progress a country, organization, individual needs something to spark them to
move forward and doing what needs to be done to achieve the desired progress. I
had read somewhere that committing our thoughts to writing is a great way to
absolutely say something that we are unable to convey any other way. I find
writing is one of the best way “to spark” something whether it is an idea or a
cause. To generate positive outcome the spark has to be constructive in nature
and not destructive.
I
have been navigating through the jungles of blog for many years and majority of
these blogs has the landmark of destructive in nature. It is either condemning
government policy or insulting politician without giving any suggestion for
them to make things better. To me one of the ways to make things better is to
find a faster way to solve problem. However through my observation we are doing
exactly the opposite that is finding quicker ways to assign blame. The
misattribution of blame is one reason we make the same mistakes over and over
again. This impedes our learning from experience because we often blame the
wrong cause. The misattribution of blame occurs because we will only see what
we look for.
My
hope is that we are able to spark ideas and insights that can improve the way we
operate and things we offer by being open, curios and more engaged with world
around us. Rather than seeing an event or people for what they appear to be I
urge all of us to see it for what they could be.
